Just a kid from Raleigh who learned to lead under pressure.
My career was not built in a studio, it was developed in the trenches of the Air Force. That foundation of discipline and accountability is where I first learned to lead: to translate complex operational data into clear visual decisions under pressure, while keeping a team aligned and moving. I came up through the craft obsessing over the technical nuances — the grind of high-volume execution, the precision required to make things look right. But technical skill was never the destination. It was the foundation.
As I moved into the private sector, my focus shifted from the pretty to the purposeful. I grew into a creative leadership role — learning to brief and mentor designers, align stakeholders across product and marketing, and advocate for the user while translating executive vision into systems that scale. Today, I operate as an Associate Creative Director: architecting brand frameworks, leading creative teams, and ensuring every initiative is grounded in strategy and built to perform. This is the integration of discipline and empathy — where the clinical curiosity of a designer meets the accountability of a leader.
STRENGTHS
1I quickly see patterns and gaps that others may miss. I look at the brand as a whole system to build scalable frameworks that support the business as it evolves.
Strategic
2Ideas are only useful if they move into action. I focus on turning creative vision into high performance assets that drive results and provide a clear return on investment.
Activator
3I am always thinking about where the brand is going next. I leverage AI powered workflows to ensure our creative engine is built to last and scale with global standards.
Futuristic
“Jarrod operates as a true partner to leadership. He has a unique ability to cut through the noise and build scalable systems that align our creative output with our actual business goals. His approach to brand architecture is the foundation our team needed to grow.”

HOW I THINK
1Waiting for the spark is a trap — momentum creates its own energy. I move fast and bring my team with me, using iteration to find the soul of a project rather than overthinking it in isolation. Speed is how we learn what works.Speed is a creative lubricant

2Knowing the software is the baseline — knowing the human on the other side of the screen is the craft. That includes the user, the client, and the designers on my team. I bring clinical curiosity to understand friction and the emotional intelligence to resolve it, whether the friction is a UX problem or a creative brief that isn't landing.Empathy is a technical skill

3Templates produce competent work. I push past competent, because safe creative is invisible creative. As a leader, I create space for my team to take smart risks, and I model the discomfort of a fresh perspective over the safety of a proven cliché.Good is the enemy of new
